Position Description

As a Systems Engineer I, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Receives guidance to complete the following:
  • Collaborate with engineering team for equipment selection, design and development
  • Develop and update engineering documents such as process maps, process FMEA, Manufacturing / Quality Instructions, Test Methods, drawings, and Test Reports
  • Run, observe and expedite shop orders
  • Collaborate with production to identify capabilities and capacity for smooth design transfer.
  • Collaborate with engineering team for equipment selection, design and development
  • Sustain manufacturing processes
  • Debug manufacturing processes and equipment via root cause analysis

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer Science, Software, Biomedical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Proficient with reading schematics ,spreadsheets, scheduling programs, and word processing. Knowledge of PTC integrity or DOORS (Relational Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements  System) or  any other Life cycle management tool.
  • Knowledgeable about a variety of electronic circuits.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have a technical aptitude and be detail oriented.
  • Proficient with electronic lab equipment.


The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Experience in the medical device industry.
  • Experience in engineering (i.e. Internships or Co-Ops).
  • Engineering Capstone projects related to electronic or medical devices.
  • Working knowledge of PCBA manufacturing and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Technical Writing.
  • Leadership or project management experience.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and quality standards, including FDA regulations and ISO quality systems.
