Position Description

The Team Leader will lead and coordinate the Quality Control (QC) team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Understand and follow Applied Medical's Quality Systems (QS) per training
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Understand and comply with safety rules and company policies
  • Assist with training, implementing, updating, and creating procedures
  • Ensure necessary instructions, tools and equipment are available and calibrated
  • Train and mentor new team members as well as complete performance reviews
  • Actively participate in improvement initiatives to optimize inspections, collect data and participate in other team building and efficiency efforts
  • Participate in ongoing trend analysis in all areas of data collection for the QC team
  • Coordinate, liaise and participate with internal teams to ensure production and engineering requirements are met
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required

Position Requirements

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects
  • Knowledgeable of inspection techniques and procedures
  • Ability to read drawings and use measuring instruments to perform QC activities
  • Associate’s degree or at least 2 years of college or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems including QSR and GMP regulations and relevant ISO standards
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on manufacturing or equivalent experience, preferably with medical devices
