Position Description

As a Clinical Market Research Analyst for Healthcare, Policy & Reimbursement, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

 

  • Create and maintain coding, coverage and payment information regarding Applied products and their related procedures
  • Respond to customer questions and needs relative to product and procedure coding
  • Assist in developing tools and customer resources to address reimbursement needs
  • Support Clinical Development and Field Implementation teams with reimbursement and healthcare policy education
  • Develop a knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third party payer healthcare and reimbursement policy and its effects on healthcare delivery
  • Research provider operational and financial relationships in support of targeting and messaging strategies
  • Create quarterly and annual update reports regarding competitor financial growth and corporate strategies
  • Support the Field Implementation team’s need for customer-specific data and tools
  • Monitor regional, national and global healthcare policy to identify new opportunities for Applied Medical
  • Contribute to various Clinical & Market Research, Clinical Development and R&D research projects as needed

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally as part of a team
  • Ability to formulate reports, present findings and organize data
  • Ability to execute tasks quickly and with meticulous accuracy and consistency
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • 1+ year of experience in writing reports
  • Data-mining and analysis experience

Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Medical coding certification
  • Healthcare policy experience
  • Experience in giving presentations
