Position Description

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

 

  • Perform inspection activities such as first article, in-process and final product verification
  • Determine acceptability of raw materials, components, subassemblies, and finished products according to standards, guidelines and conformance criteria specified in company procedures, work instructions, drawings, and product specifications
  • Read and understand engineering drawings, shop order operations and shop order process controls
  • Inspect product and materials in accordance with engineering drawings, standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Utilize technical measuring devices to determine product conformance in accordance with specifications
  • Generate documentation for corrective actions and disposition of product
  • Use data management software to document and maintain accurate records of inspection results

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

 

  • 2+ years working with quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485 or 21 CFR part 820
  • Understand and follow Applied Medical’s Quality Systems  per training
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Understand and comply with safety rules and company policies

Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

 

  • Familiarity with 21 CFR part 820
  • Hands-on manufacturing experience or medical device manufacturing
