    Position Description

    As a PCB Layout Engineer, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

    • Layout of circuit boards based on design engineering schematics
    • Work with Engineers on component selection and placement based on schematic entries
    • Control the component library with Altium Designer
    • Host layout review meetings
    • Complete engineering documentation through ECN release
    • Provide information and technical support from Engineering to other departments
    • Develop and maintain design control documentation, test procedures and test protocols

    Position Requirements

    This position requires the following skills and attributes:

    • 4 year degree and industry experience in PCB layout, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering industries
    • Design experience from concept to product
    • Experience with multi-layer circuit board layout
    • Layout of ball grid array components
    • Experience with schematic design and capture software (Altium)
    • Working understanding and use of IPC standards
    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

    Preferred

    The following skills and attributes are preferred:

    • Experience with medical device development
    • Prior working/design experience with software/firmware combined analog and digital device designs
    • Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems
