    Position Description

    As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

    • Assist in the execution of activities, tasks, and actions related to development projects from design through production phase
    • Identify problems and initiate improvements to current testing techniques/methods or working processes/products
    • Communicate with various departments regarding actions required by the project engineering team
    • Plan, organize, and perform tasks and deliverables related to Engineering projects
    • Review and evaluate non-conforming materials and address customer feedback
    • Assist Project Engineers to meet due dates, complete milestones and day -to-day engineering tasks
    • Develop and update engineering documents such as manufacturing instructions, drawings, and test methods
    • Research, collect data, perform investigations, and provide evidence per request of responsible personnel or departments
    • Execute test protocols and reports, conduct various testing, collect and analyze data and trends
    • Perform other engineering related activities as assigned

    Position Requirements

    This position requires the following skills and attributes:

    • Minimum of a high school degree
    • Understand technical reasoning, prototyping, and manufacturing processes
    • Ability to learn new processes/procedures quickly
    • Work effectively in a team environment
    • Experience with spreadsheet and word processing
    • Ability to work independently, resolve issues and manage multiple tasks and priorities
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as assembly procedures, engineering drawings instructions, testing protocol and equipment procedures
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Mechanical aptitude essential (i.e. hands-on ability to test)
    • Demonstrate originality, ingenuity, integrity and effective leadership skills
    • Demonstrate verbal and written analytical/problem solving, communication, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills

    Preferred

    The following skills and attributes are preferred:

    • Technical trade school training or equivalent technical experience
    • Experience in manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, extrusion, and stamping
    • Knowledge of 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
    • Experience in hands on testing and troubleshooting of tools and equipment
    • Knowledge of assembly/testing of finished product and/or hardware and software
