    Position Description

    As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

    • Assist in the execution of activities, tasks, and actions related to development projects from design through production phase
    • Support Engineering team to facilitate product development and production
    • Plan, organize, and perform tasks and deliverables related to Engineering projects
    • Perform evaluation, testing and troubleshooting of finished products, electrical systems and their respective components, sub-assemblies and test fixtures
    • Review and evaluate non-conforming materials and address customer experience reports
    • Develop and update engineering documents such as manufacturing instructions, drawings, and test methods
    • Build, set up, test, troubleshoot, repair and/or modify tooling parts and equipment
    • Research, collect data, perform investigations, and provide evidence per request of responsible personnel or departments
    • Execute test protocols and reports, conduct various testing, collect and analyze data and trends
    • Maintain lab equipment and spare parts inventory
    • Maintain compliance with Design Control procedures
    • Assist Project Engineers to meet due dates, complete milestones and day -to-day engineering tasks

    Position Requirements

    This position requires the following skills and attributes:

    • Associate or Bachelor degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent experience
    • Understand technical reasoning, prototyping, and manufacturing processes
    • Ability to learn new products/processes and design control procedures quickly
    • Work effectively in a team environment
    • Demonstrate verbal and written analytical/problem solving, communication, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills
    • Experience with spreadsheet and word processing
    • Knowledge of assembly/testing of finished product and/or hardware and software
    • Experience proposing and manufacturing new tools or equipment


    The following skills and attributes are preferred:

    • Technical trade school training or equivalent technical experience
    • Experience in manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, extrusion, and stamping
    • Knowledge of 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
    • Experience in hands on testing and troubleshooting of tools and equipment
